Nagy Moustafa – Chairman

Nagy Moustafa is an Entrepreneur with vision and passion, holding a long history of driving ideas from conception to reality. Nagy has been instrumental in founding and funding business operations across the international market with global experience in Europe, Asia and the Middle East, and now expanding focus into North America. In addition to Chairman of InfoSec Global, Nagy currently holds the positions of Chairman of SecureMisr, Vice Chairman of First Information Security, Vice Chairman with ClearCell Group, and Chairman & CEO of Canadian Growth Investment. Nagy is also a Board Member of CIT Global and an Advisory Board Member of MAC Capital.

Nagy co-founded SecureMisr, an information security service provider with Dr. Taher El Gamal (SSL inventor), partnered XPV Capital focusing on water-related technology investments, and established First Information Security with First Security Group and the Al Subeaei Group. A recent venture based in Canada focuses on developing mobile strategies, mobile marketing, customer relationship management and transaction services.

Previously, Nagy founded and led CIT, a company focused on custom software development and outsourcing, and Diversinet Corp. with business in mobile security, health care and financial applications. At Diversinet, Nagy was instrumental in establishing an OEM deal with RIM, strategic relationships with CITC Group and Blue Cross, and a joint venture with the Hong Kong wireless carrier Sunday (now owned by PCCW). Prior to his entrepreneurial career, Nagy held senior positions at Rogers Communications and IBM.

Eric T. Ashdown – President

Eric Ashdown brings over 25 years of international business experience to the team from both large corporate and entrepreneurial roles.  He joins us from Microsoft where he has held several senior security roles including Asia Chief Security Officer, Principal Cybersecurity Consultant and Senior Director Risk Management for the Cloud services that would become Azure and Office365. He was a Partner and National Director (Greater China) for Ernst & Young and Partner and Senior Director of Accenture’s Security Strategy practice.  In these roles he has developed and built successful information security teams in the US, Canada, and across Asia.

Eric’s background also includes security start up experience with Xcert International and Net-Reliance. He has advised numerous companies and Government entities in over a dozen countries around the world on security trends, issues, solutions and policy. His clients have included numerous financial services firms, oil & gas companies, technology firms, auto companies and security services firms.  Eric has experience and has managed teams on all sides of the information security space over the past 18 years. He began his career as a structured finance banker and later a turnaround consultant to the industry before moving into the security and cryptographic applications space because of a personal interest in this technology. His previous clients have included Microsoft, Cisco, Amazon, Boeing Credit, BMW, Ford, ICBC Bank, Bank of America, National Semiconductor, US Federal Reserve Bank – San Francisco 12th District, CITIC Securities, Wells Fargo Bank, Kingdom of Jordan/California Energy Commission, Intuit, UK Department of Environment, Hungarian Energy Services Company, NatWest Bank, the Hong Kong Government, a large software developer in India and a Municipality in China.

Eric is a member of the Cloud Security Alliance and has been a past member of ANSI X9.F3, TRUSTe, Trusted Computing Group and is a Ponemon Fellow. Eric is on the Advisory Board of Yuenfen Flow in Beijing – a technology incubator.

Eric earned his MBA in International Business from the George Washington University and holds a BA in International Studies from the University of the Pacific.  During this time he also attended National Taiwan University and Taiwan Normal University Mandarin Training Center.

Mladen MRVELJ – Managing Director

Mladen is the co-founder and partner in InfoSec Global d.o.o., Zagreb, Croatia, responsible for our business unit and development in South East Europe.  Mladen brings 20+ years of professional IT experience in leading on successful projects across industries working for internationally renowned IT and financial giants in the United States, Canada and Europe.  Prior to joining the InfoSec Global, Mladen worked at the Erste Bank, Zagreb, Croatia as a Director and CIO.

At the very beginning of his career, Mladen worked in Munich, Germany at the University of the Federal Armed Forces developing projects for flooding simulation. After moving to Canada, he continued working in the IT sector development projects at Canadian Info Tech (CIT).  During the dot com boom, Mladen worked as a senior IT consultant for several world-wide known companies such as Famous Players, Toronto, Hatch Associates, Oakville, Universal Studios, Los Angeles, and Wells Fargo Bank, San Francisco.

Mladen is passionate about innovation in business and technology with a strong belief that effective security embedded in advanced technology brings the right level of business vitality and integrity.  Mladen holds a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science from University of Zagreb (1991).

 

Dilip Chetram – Finance & Accounting Executive

Dilip Chetram has held numerous senior positions within the disciplines of Accounting, Taxation, Auditing, Risk Assessment and Management, Consulting and eSolutions. A few of these positions include Manager, Taxation at Dundee Corporation, AVP & Business Consultant at the Bank of America and AVP & Manager, Internal Control also at the Bank of America.

With a MBA with specialties in Accounting and Finance, Dilip currently focuses on startup ventures and businesses seeking to expand and/or strengthen their operations.

Rubsun Ho – Director

Rubsun Ho is a corporate lawyer and adviser to a number of early stage technology companies. He co-founded Cognition LLP, a new breed of law firm, upon recognizing that the existing legal marketplace was in need of re-engineering to provide better service at lower costs.

Prior to co-founding Cognition, Rubsun was Legal Counsel to Bitfone, a mobile device management software company, and Diversinet, a secure application platform technology provider for mobile healthcare. Rubsun also served as VP Business Development with Wysdom Inc., a wireless Internet startup based in Toronto, where he helped the company raise over US$60 million in financing and procured marketing and distribution agreements with various telecom and Internet entities. Before Wysdom, Rubsun was a corporate and securities associate in the Toronto and New York offices of Stikeman Elliott, where he worked on a number of public and private financings and M&A transactions.

Rubsun holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Toronto (1995) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) from McGill University (1992).

Paul Laginski – Project Delivery

Paul is a professional project manager (PMP) with over 12 years experience in business consulting and IT strategy consulting.  Through deep experience in building client relationships he has ensured critical alignment between strategic Business need and IT.  By ensuring this alignment Paul has been able to identify and deliver on the business case benefits (increasing revenue, cost take out) associated with the programs/projects he has managed.

Paul has both led and implemented project / program portfolio governance to ensure the proper level of rigor of project management best practices and methodologies for large and small scale projects. He has established and managed a Project Management Office (PMO) implementing best practices. He has extensive experience in working with on/off shore resources and multi-site environments with diverse cross-functional project teams.

Paul’s expertise in project/program management, application solution strategy and business analysis has been critical in successfully managing projects in the Telco/Wireless/Wireline/Cable and Insurance industries with diverse clients such as CGI, Bell Canada, Royal SunAlliance, Time Warner Cable, AT&T and Sigma Software Solutions.
